As for the startx , as mentioned previously my system works very well on the intel VGA, even I installed KDE and run it, but when I changed the pc , and try to run on with a radeon VGA, (of course I included the driver in the kernel), I had this problem. Any way, when I erased the config file , it works very good, but the only difference was: - Previously I was able to write kdm only to enter to kde from console . - Now: I have to xinit , and kdeinit ,and then startkde Any hints for this .
