Hi , Jeremy,

Thanks for the reply.

Strange it is. Following your post, I tried without "--enable-libipq" only in
LFS6.8, and the executable worked. Just to be safe, I reinstalled with
"--enable-libipq" again.

Just to be clear, Yesterday, the installations of 1.4.11 and 1.4.11.1 were
successful, but running 1.4.11 was not (without "--enable-libipq). In order to
test, I rebooted all three machines, and was badly surprised: ssh from another
host I use with cssh could not find the route to any of them. In each, sudo
iptables -L -n gave me an empty table, with DROP for all chains.

I tried to run a BLFS based rc.iptables script defining all rules again,
without success, getting the message of wrong *6* libraries ... should be *6*
(I believe something related to ipv4 and 6). Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I
cannot reproduce this error any more.

Your answer made me get the surprise I cited above, which is very important for
me, although I do no yet understand what is happening with my three LFS's,
because now I am warned that something seems to be wrong with them.

Thank you very much, again.
