As you might have heard, KDE 4.7.0 has been released. A notable change is that some of the packages (kdeedu, kdegraphics, kdebindings, etc) has been split in to smaller packages. And some have been renamed. I'm not sure how I would compile the new packages.
I have looked into it (the packages), the below is how the packages have been split (with 90% accuracy): Kdeedu ---------- blinken cantor kalgebra kalzium kanagram kbruch kgeography khangman kig kiten klettres kmplot kstars ktouch kturtle kwordquiz libkdeedu marble parley rocs step Kdegraphics ---------------- gwenview kamera kcolorchooser kdegraphics-strigi-analyzer kdegraphics-thumbnailers kgamma kolourpaint kruler ksaneplugin ksnapshot libkdcraw libkexiv2 libkipi libksane mobipocket okular svgpart Kdesdk ---------- [Main Package] kate Kdebase ------------ [kde-baseapps] konsole Kdebindings ----------------- kimono korundum kross-interpreters perlkde perlqt pykde4 qtruby qyoto smokegen smokekde smokeqt kdebase-workspace --------------------------- kde-workspace kde-wallpapers KDE PIM ------------- kdepim kdepim-runtime The un-split packages ----------------------------- Kdeaccessibility Kdeadmin Kdeartwork Kdemultimedia Kdenetwork Kdepimlibs Kdeplasma-addons Kdegames -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
