Or, to avoid trinity (I'm sure Bruce can't believe that anyone would want to do that ;-) try googling for 'linux screenshot' (not the phrase I would have thought of using!) - e.g. 'import' from ImageMagick, or just use 'xwd', or the gimp (File -> Create -> Screenshot : I didn't know that was there, and the reference I found was a bit old, with a different menu entry). Note that this doesn't solve the actual question of how to tie one of these choices to the PrtScrn key!
