I think the people here who care about heimdal can probably be
counted on the figures of one hand, with fingers to spare. But
having said that, I thought google found a mention of (more) gcc-4.6
related fixes in 1.5.2 when I was looking earlier, so I would be
reluctant to assume 1.4 will be any better (last built against
LFS-svn-20101029 which is "old" in this context).

Perhaps nfs git will help. If not, I suggest looking at distros
(preferably those using gcc-4.6.x [ unless luxInteg's version of clfs
- I think that's what he mentioned - is using a different version of
gcc]) to see which versions they match together, and to review how
they build both packages. I've assumed that it's nfs that needs a
patch or sed, but perhaps heimdal is the thing needing to be fixed.

For other distros, fedora is usually bleeding-edge, but you'll
probably need an rpm2cpio script to work out what they are doing
(unless you get lucky and are able to connect to their gitweb
pages). For debian, maybe the latest versions are in
-experimental or -testing : if so, all you probably need is the
debianization parts (*.gz) from your local debian mirror's
pool. Similarly for the ubuntu mirror. Sounds like fun, I hope
you find a fix.
