Thanks again, Ken.

Did not know when the problem appeared, and now am sure it was since
linux-3.4, writing this to correct my previous assumption.

Have just checked and they are set.

Will continue this discussion starting another thread in lfs (dev)
list: "linux-3.4 needs patch to build"
