Just thought I'd mention this an option to any Beyond Linux From
Scratch users who may be interested. I went looking for pkg-config
alternatives that could replace pkg-config functionality and didn't
have glib as a dependency. With the help of some other developers was
able to find two other options.

Am currently using pkgconf (renamed as pkg-config) and so far, have
had no issues with the replacement. Am very happy with the switch.
