 That's the joy of automation - when it breaks, you get to keep the
pieces :)  Certainly, my own scripts break from time to time, and on
occasion it can be *interesting* to work out why later packages
attempted to build despite a previous error.  In a very few cases
the Makefile seems not to return the error status, but more usually
it's my own idiocies - it pays to understand *how* your own scripts
fail !

 At one time, we used to see a lot of problems from people using the
'package users' hint.  Nowadays it is hardly ever mentioned - if
people are using it, please mention that if you have a compile
problem.  Thanks.
