Even though it is not described in the book, it would be a good thing if
you install the header (just the header) from libtirpc section (look
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/svn/basicnet/libtirpc.html ).

I don't really know if it would work, but I have been in a similar problem.
