I am using clfs/cblfs  scripts which are a bit (older and ) more conservative.

The xterm problem is now sorted.  I mounted /dev/pts  earlier  and xterm now 
works.

thanks to you all -this  'show-stopper' has stopped.

  I still have no keyboard nor mouse when I start slim unless I unplug/replug 
these . (And for usb only  -as   ps2 keyboard/mouse  which work fine in the 
RW_rootfs  system are  a no-no here )

Any ideas how these  (or some of these)  can be fixed?
