Trying to logoff from the Xfce desktop: Click on the desktop Type Alt-F4 Click on "Log out"
Xfce closes, the user session is *not* logged out, and these errors show: ** (polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1:1913): WARNING **: Unable to register authentication agent: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1.Error.Failed: Cannot determine user of subject Cannot register authentication agent: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1.Error.Failed: Cannot determine user of subject (xfce4-session:1891): GLib-WARNING **: GError set over the top of a previous GError or uninitialized memory. This indicates a bug in someone's code. You must ensure an error is NULL before it's set. The overwriting error message was: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1.Error.Failed: Action org.freedesktop.login1.power-off is not registered Is there anything that can be done, either to eliminate the errors or have the logout complete properly? Thanks, Dave
