Never heard of it, but apparently it is nothing to do with donkies. Google knows all about it - "libass is a portable subtitle renderer for the ASS/SSA (Advanced Substation Alpha/Substation Alpha) subtitle format.". I assume that you have already looked through its configure script for FRIBIDI, and not found any way to disable it.
