People with long memories will recall that, from time to time, I have uploaded lists of the packages I build - and the order in which I build them - to my LFS space. It used to be that much of what I built was in advance of BLFS. Now, for a change, a few packages are slightly behind it (I stopped updating my versions, except for vulnerabilities - and I haven't seen any of those) a few days ago.
For all of the 350+ packages on my normal desktops, and on my server, I can say that they *seem* to work correctly for me (except for a minor issue with gtk+-2 which I've already mentioned) on LFS-7.4. As always, the purpose is record my current build order - BLFS can be frightening when you start it, although probably not quite as bad as looking at all the avilable packages in fedora or debian and wondering if you want them. Some packages might need extra patches (unlikely this time, I think) or configure switches (e.g. for gnome packages) to build with missing deps : as always, I'm willing to answer questions in private mail. The latest version (I've renamed the directory because not all the lists are only for desktop packages) is at: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/~ken/What-I-Build/desktop-and-server-packages-september-2013.txt Now go and shake your heads with sorrow and disgust at the weird things that I build ;-) ĸen -- das eine Mal als Tragödie, dieses Mal als Farce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
