As it is written in the book, the patch is required
even with --disable-introspection.
Pygobject compiles without the patch with the above option,
and then pygtk-2.24.0 which depends on it installs ok.

Exfalso is a tag editor that I use, part of quodlibet,
a gtk based media player written in python which depends on pygobject.
The patch makes it's window blank writing in the log:

Error in sys.excepthook:
RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth exceeded while calling a Python object

Works fine without it. Which package in the book
that depends on pygobject brakes without the patch?

Thanks
