There are a number of packages in BLFS that require particular kernel configuration settings. The book always specifies these by using menu paths. It is often not possible to check reliably whether these settings have already been chosen except by unpacking the kernel again, copying over /boot/config-x.y.z, and making menuconfig.
In future, could the actual flag names be given in addition to (or instead of) the menu paths? Then they could be quickly checked by grepping the config file. Sometimes you can guess what the flag name would be, but it's often difficult as there may be several with very similar names. -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
