Fortunately the syntax is quite simple. Here's the one I use: [Unit] Description=gpm console mouse service [Service] ExecStart=/usr/sbin/gpm -m /dev/input/mice -t imps2 Type=forking PIDFile=/run/gpm.pid [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target Put it in /etc/systemd/system.
