I can't be sure, but if you are going to risk it, you may try BLFS instructions. http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/systemd/general/systemd.html There are, more or less, upgrade-like instructions where they overwrite the currently running version of systemd. However, the instructions were written in mind of overwriting currenly running version which is the same like the one you are building and the instructions are adjusted for systemd-215, not 212. -- Note: My last name is not Krejzi.
