For what I'm doing, I don't need a mouse in a tty under qemu (the
old "problems pasting between client and host" issue). I just need
to be able to move the mouse in a desktop, such as xfce, and to be
able to click on buttons or the desktop (to get a menu). I don't
think that having a mouse in a terminal is likely to help with having
a working mouse on the desktop, or am I overlooking something ?

Certainly, there was a setting somewhere for a tty mouse, but I
turned it off as likely to be a waste of cycles (and no, I don't think
it is gpm, just a similar thing - this is a BSD). OK, maybe I'll
try that [ moused_enable="YES" ].

FWIW, I get an Xorg log message about hotplugging being turned on,devices
using 'kbd'. 'mouse' or 'vmmouse' will be disabled - but that
appears to be normal, and the keyboard does seem to work (well, the
enter key works!).
