Hello Bruce,
sorry i make changes in my own os partition,i edit  /boot/gurb/gurb.cfg file in 
the following line i edit menuentry 'GNU/Linux' --class gnulinux and replace in 
"GNU/Linux"with "xxxx" and i saved it.as you said i have two grub.cfg files one 
is held on my own os another held on my host system.i think i edit gurb.cfg 
file in both my own os and my host os right?
