Neither have I, so I'm reinstalling and not trying to solve this binary issue.  
As it happens, I ran the configure again tonight
from a fresh QT dir. and there was no probs., so am building tomorrow when I 
can leave the laptop for 2 hours plus.  What a build QT is!
