I scanned briefly through the "hints" directory, and found several that
could possibly be moved to the "old" subdirectory.
Under <http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/hints/downloads/files>:
* "essential prereading" (2004)
<http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/hints/downloads/files/essential_prereading.txt>
There is much truly obsolete info, it duplicates info now in the LFS
book and official FAQ
* nameif hint
made obsolete by udev?
* lfs-references
main link from this document is dead
* kernel-2.4
Many others are dubious (eg "wireless" hint which uses hotplug-events)
but do have some info which is still useful.
