Thanks I managed to build/install systemd-224 But in booting it reports --------------------------- failed to create volatile files and directories. --------------------------- ( or somesuch ) And as before usbsicks failed to open in kde/dolphin. If this is due to the tmpfiles problem, I homed in on files in /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d and these have a lot of errors. The fact that these are all shipped with systemd-224 suggest that it might be something missing in the execution of systemd-tmpfiles ( http://www.dsm.fordham.edu/cgi-bin/man-cgi.pl?topic=systemd- tmpfiles&sect=8 ) I have accordingly updated to kmod-21 and I am going to have a go at compiling linux-4.2. I would be grateful for any advice regarding kernel options ffom anyone who has successfully installed systemd-224 and has had the usr/lib/tmpfiles.d files parsed without errors. yours sincerely luxInteg -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
