We have many hints, but many of them are primarily about compiling
software which is not in BLFS. The attached hint is slightly
different - it is primarily about how to use software [ more like
what other distros have in their wikis ], although it does reference
one new package [ ufraw ].

I can remember the days when you could pay to get a hand print of a
photo, and get more detail in the shadows and highlights, although I
suspect I only ever took a few pictures per day (film was
expensive). With a digital camera which can take some sort of raw
photos, it is possible to get much more detail. The hint covers
using a *single* raw file to extract more detail ("pseudo HDR"),
along with techniques which work for me, notes of potential problems,
and some links to alternative approaches.

I'm mentioning it here because _discussion_ of hints belongs on this
list. I'm open to comments, either sent to the list, or directly to
me. In the absence of any major problems being flagged up, I'll
post it to the hints list in a couple of weeks.
