Well colord isn't part of Xorg, but I guess you're probably building
GTK. In any case, what it's complaining about it that you apparently
have gobject-introspection installed, but some dependency of colord
(looks like libgusb) was built without gobject-introspection support.
It should be enough to rebuild libgusb so it finds
gobject-introspection, then rebuild colord.
Actually, I think GTK was on the path off the road but I noticed Cups
was in the option list of something and I wanted to build that anyway I
figured why not now. Now I know why. :-) For some reason colord is
required for that. I did finally get colord to build but in the process
I rebuilt a couple other packages namely gobject-introspection and
libgusb. I see the reference to the gobject in the errors but how did
everyone come to the conclusion I needed to rebuild libgusb? I don't see
that it got called out anywhere.
Again I thank all of you for your knowledge and being willing to share
it. You know, I haven't tried building BLFS for a lot of years but it
seems to me there is a lot more levels of dependencies than there used
to be. I have followed some to 4 levels deep. At my age (I blame it on
that) I am getting confused on where I am working and where I need to go
back to in order to carry on. This may force me to start keeping notes
or a journal. I have always hated notes. :-)
Thanks again,
Arnie
