Everything got too uncertain trying to redo part of Stage1 with Stage2 in place. I did find that in the Stage1 gcc pass 2 I had used -j 2, had worked before, but yeah, it's iffy and maybe my "smoking gun". (Heck, it worked on about 25 subsequent packages in Stage1! And without -j my i7 is little faster than my Conroe! ;-P ) So I've decided to start from scratch once again. (sigh) "News at 11!" or maybe later...
