First time I've seen somebody using zero-width spaces [ U+200b] and
advocating a non-graphical (i.e. non-X) build - I live and learn.

And yes, everybody posts queries and regrets it.

A hint (check the links at the lfs site) might be useful to others -
I suspect that most people here use openssl (and hopefully, they
recompile it every time there is an update to fix vulnerabilities -
well I can dream, can't I ?)

I think most people here either get by with the fonts in kbd (I have
a vested interest in the two sizes of LatGrkCyr ;) or move to Xorg as
quickly as possible. For many languages, Xorg is pretty much
required.

And although I looked at the ttf fork of Terminus (as part of the
review of TTF/OTF fonts I'm still trying to do), and disliked it as
much as many other fonts, I'm sure some people would appreciate a
hint for that. Other things being equal, big fonts are good - but
the "other things" include being able to have enough rows and
columns for the terminal to be useful - so sizes > 12x22 probably do
not work well when a screen has a small number of pixels.
