Perhaps you should add the directory containing `fontutil.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable

Any ideas what happened here? Neither ucs2any nor fontutil are
in
the
book, so i wonder why this hard dependency comes up here.

I assume you are using BLFS 7.10? Are fontutil or ucs2any related?

Yes, it's based on LFS-7.10, BLFS is the development branch (which
is
not far ahead of BLFS-7.10).

Could you please cd into the directory where you downloaded all the
files and make sure you have font-util-1.3.1.tar.bz2?

It might be because font-until hasn't been installed yet, or installed
incorrectly.

Hi Samuel,

ah yes, the font-util package provides ucs2any. I build the packages in DESTDIR install mode. That may be the reason why ucs2any isn't found by the font package as it resides in the DESTDIR at the time compiling the font package. It should be installed in the "real" directories before compiling the fonts.
Seems so that i have to tweak my build scripts...
