I propose to add ant as recommended dependency (that pulls openjdk in the
dependency chain), and replace "--without-java" with "--without-junit". Thus,
there is no need for junit and hamcrest jars (they are still needed to build
ant though). We do not run libreoffice tests anyway. Now I am not sure it
works; Where could I get some sdbc files to test?

Just create the file to test:
Start LO Base, create new database, finish, chose name and location on hard drive, save, Tables, Create Tables in design
view, enter some data, save.
My experience is that without java, as soon as you choose anything regarding
tables, it errors.
