Hi, I had a problem in compiling systemd-232 in the (new) LFS 8.0-rc1
(Linux From Scratch - Version 8.0-rc1-system)
Configure alerts: configure: error: *** POSIX caps library not found
I have libcap.so and libattr.so installed this is my ls:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 67344 Feb 20 20:09 /lib/libattr.so.1.1.0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 62200 Feb 23 18:38 /lib/libcap.so.2.25
In config.log I read:
configure:16517: gcc -o conftest -g -O2 conftest.c -lcap >&5
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/6.3.0/../../../../lib/libcap.so: file
not recognized: Is a directory
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
configure:16517: $? = 1

Until now all tests seems to me ok.
