Hi Riccardo,
I've built nettle with 8.0-rc1, and I do not see this. Looking
at the configure script, it seems that /usr/lib64 is used only if
it already exists and is not a symlink... Maybe you had it as a leftover
of preceding builds, or it had been created by some package not included
in (B)LFS?

Pierre
Thanks a lot Pierre, I've deleted /usr/lib64 (was empty) and recompiled.
I've double checked, and for now, no compiled application has created
files in /usr/lib64
I go on till kde - plasma ....
Kind regards
Riccardo
