I don't think you understand. Plasma *IS* kde5. kf5 is literally KDE
Frameworks version 5. kf5 is not a desktop environment. It is a set of
libraries that the KDE Plasma environment and KDE applications use.
You can use the KDE applications in any graphical environment including
twm. Plasma is not required.
