as I wrote: automatic download fails because the certificate of the
download site (pypi.python.org) cannot be verified without a pointer to
the list of root CA certs.

I had a standard installation of LFS with jhalfs (works and bootable),
then started BLFS with jhalfs, and it stops at the python modules. I had
prepared wgetrc and pointed that to the root CA bundle, Beaker installed
and tried to pull funcsigs with pip, then complained about "host not
verifiable".
