Without confusing matters with what or why, I'm trying to mount an 8.3 DOS
floppy but the directory listing is mostly ????????.???. It checks out fine on
DOS, scandisk and all. The directory is in fine shape. BUT it contains some
files with "!" and "@" as the first letter of the name. That seems to be the
problem. I've tried "mount /dev/fd0 /media/floppy -o codepage=437 -t msdos",
no joy. Does anybody know a workaround? (I need to replace one file and I
don't want to garbage-up the directories.)

FWIW, I have a tarball I made of the DOS HD that came off, and "tar tf ..."
shows the files beginning with "!" in quotes. I can extract that and ls shows
them in quotes too.
