Based on my experience with Firefox, everything on 7.10 is too old.  Since they 
went on their quick-march, IMO it's just too hard to even try to keep up with 
them and all their new dependencies.  I gave up trying, still wishing for the 
"good old days".  That's one of the advantages of building by a BLFS Book, the 
versions of things mesh.
