This was just a snippet of the attempted build, I should have removed the
slash before posting. When the entire command sequence produces the same
error. it doesn't like the --add switch. The file was created with
permissions 644. I may have to erase some directories and try this section,
and the related sections again.
Building a working docbook install for the first time can be painful
(in particular, so many commands which look similar but have slight
differences). If you have logged the install (so that you are
confident what got installed), I recommend scripting it and then,
when it all completes without error, ripping out the set of docbook
packages and reinstalling to prove that the scripts are ok.
This is why I use a package manager, the host is unchanged until the
package is correct. If the package is incorrect I can uninstall it and
correct without the host system being polluted.
