My laptop happens to run xfce because copy and paste can work with that, whereas on icewm which I use everywhere else they are almost unusable on this machine. And this machine is still running 8.4 with old xfce, so perhaps things have maybe changed since then (bringing up wifi on the new system was so painful that I've deferred upgrading to 9.0 until I have time to review _all_ my notes).
Anyway, I'm currently upgrading to firefox-68.4.0 and because the amdgpu uses over 2GB of the 8GB RAM I'm using ./mach build -j4 to (I hope) avoid it going into swap - only two terms and X running. In one of the terms I've got 'top', and in the panel I've got the cpugraph among other things. What I'be just noticed is that the eight vertical bars for CPU activity in the panel run from right to left, i.e. what top calls Cpu7 is at left and Cpu0 at right. Not important, but puzzling. ĸen -- The right of the people to keep and arm Bears, shall not be infringed. -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
