Hello,

Please do not top post as this destroys the threads.

We have tried to advise you of the difficulties with regards to the building
process. The easiest way I can say this is, when you download a source tar
ball from a stable release and extract it, you expect that it will compile.
This is not the case with chromium.

The difference between lfs/blfs and the distros is that they have a large team
of developers working on their teams, and often one maintainer can spend the
considerable amount of time needed to get it to work. With maybe 4 or 5 people
that lfs/blfs have in editing the book, it is not fair to expect that the small
amount of spare time they are donating, be spent on one single problematic
package when that time could be spent perhaps updating half the current book.

The book needs packages that can almost always be consistently updated with the
least amount of hassle.

Regards,

Christopher.
