I will clone the repo and then add a tag so I can get a "proper tarball" then have a go at it. I think I may be able to do that tomorrow. It is the only sane way to do this. Create an rpm install it if it not right remove it and reinstall the previous one. I don't understand why LFS is so anti package manager, I guess you folks just like the beatings you get from not using one. Me I only need one beating to convince me that I need to go another path. And yes I figured that out all by myself without any one helping me.
