Hi martha,
First of all let me thank you for raising this issue because it is some thing I've been meaning to do for a while now. Below are the instructions for writing a data file or files to cd and I hope they prove helpful. I wrote them in such a way they can be useful to any one attempting to pursue this undertaking for the first time. If only audio burning was completed as quickly as data writing the world would be a better place to live. SMILE Step 1 Select and copy data file or files to clip board Step 2 Click on "My Computer" and slect the drive you wish to paste your selected data file or files Step 3 Press your "alt key" and arrow down to and hit enter on "write these files" Step 4 When the wizar comes up select, "write these files to data" and enter (take note of the 3 options coming up.) Step 5 You are presented with an edit box if you want to name the file or files about to be written to cd. Other wise the wizard will name the file for you. Step 5B Secondly, you can press the space bar if you want the wizard to close the file after the writing session. If you want to make multiple copies of the same file or files on another cd you do not want to check this option. Step 5C tab to "next" and enter place your blank cd in the drive and the wizard will take over the writing process Step 6 When the writing session is completed the computer drive will eject your cd I should add that this isn't a WMP10 product but a licensed roxio product. Jaws will speak you through the entire process and even when the wizard is writing to cd it speaks 20% 40% 50% and so on.
