Hi Jeffrey,
To say that the input fields can't be seen by Jaws
isn't entirely correct.
I visited the site, and was able to see the input fields, and actually enter
a user name and password.
Now, granted, it didn't recognize me as a member, since I'm not signed up,
but never-the-less, I was able to access the input fields.
As far as screen-reader accessibility, the site leaves much to be desired,
and as far as a website goes it leabves much more to be desired.
For those who are interested in pursueing the site, I would suggest going to
the site, clicking the link for their blog, and posting comments about the
lack of accessibility for sign-up and navigation.
Keep in mind that a little diplomacy when making comments or suggestions of
the site developer, will go a long way.
I looked at this site with Jaws 6.2.
HTH,
Richard Justice

Hi,

I have tried using www.pandora.com, and had other experts try as well, and
it is not accessible. Neither the PC or Jaws cursor can see the input fields
needed to run the site. It's a real pity too, because when I have had my
sighted friends use the site, it's very enjoyable.

Hi Linda,
We'll see if we can get a look at it.

Linda here. I recently learned of a web site called www.pandora.com which
allows you to create your own radio station. It is free. Actually, you can
create up to a hundred of them. I will tell you about this site, but my
question is, how do I use it with jaws? So far I have had to have help.

When you create a radio station you name an artist, and the site will put
that artist on, as well as other artists with the same type of style. You
have the option to say thumbs up on that song, or I don't like that song, or
play this song in a month because I'm tired of it. I would really like to
know if it is possible to navigate this site. Also, it is possible to let
friends hear your radio stations from their computers. After about five
minutes of initial playing the music will stop and ask you once for your
email address and password, which never have to be entered again if you are
accessing the site from your own computer. It is possible to access the
site from anywhere though. It is really quite amazing how they can match
the styles. Sometimes there is a mismatch, but not very often. I really
would like to learn if we can navigate this site.

Thanks to anyone who tries and responds.
Linda
