Hi Larry,
I almost bypassed your message because you didn't use a
subject. Please keep that in mind for the future. I
un-installed Jawsfrom the the Jaws folder in the start menu.
The only thing to be aware of is, during the un-install, if
you opt to remobe shared components you will have
to re-install the video intercept.
If you are running version 8 during the removal, and it was
set to load at
startup,
then when your machine re-boots, you will not have speech
until you manually
start the prior version.
Other than that, it should go pretty smooth.

Ok ok Rick,
You now have me officially curious. I also installed the JFW
8 update and I am thinking about dumping it for a clean
install. Any surprises to be aware of? Is it better to dump
Jaws from the start menu or the control panel? I still have
JFW 7.1 installed for those special moments.
