Here is a handy tool that I use when setting up a new Dell PC.
It's called, Dell decrapifier and it removes most all of that, pardon the
expression, crap from a new Dell computer.

Hi Lennie,
Here's a quick summary of the programs you mentioned, so it really comes
down to personal preference.

Microsoft Encarta-encyclopedia, not free Dell Picture Studio v2.0-not sure
if you might need this to open image files.
Jasc Software Inc-I believe this for something like paint shop pro.
microsoft FrontPage-web design
Rainbow Technologies-software for Jaws dongle.
Viewpoint-media player, I got rid of mine.
Windows Journal Viewer-you may want to hang on to this until you get more
info on it.
XEROX-I have the same thing on my systems, I just left it.
Your Company Name-never heard of it.
Be careful of what you un-install, because the programs you keep, may have
dependencies on some of these programs.
Also, if they are not consuming a really large amount of space, it may be
just as well to leave them be.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Dell and Demo programs

Hello all,

I was reading a post from the Jaws User List and this brought to mind a
question that I have been wondering for quite a while now.

I have a Dell Desk top and it came with all the bells and whistle. I think
that I still have demo programs since day one (2004) and I am wondering what
ones I should get rid of?

I keep coming across programs that I never use, but I am a little concern
whether I should uninstall them or just leave them alone taking up valuable
disk space.

Below are some of the programs in program files which I don't use or have no
idea what to do with them.

Microsoft Encarta
Dell Picture Studio v2.0
Jasc Software Inc
microsoft FrontPage
Rainbow Technologies
Viewpoint
Windows Journal Viewer
XEROX
Your Company Name

I would appreciate it if you would let me know which ones I should get rid
of mentioned here or other ones not listed.

Thanks in advance,

Lennie
