Yes, you shouldn't need an ampliphire for that distance.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] speaker extension cable

Sometimes, I like to listen to computer audio in another room---around 30
feet away from the computer.

can I run a cable to the speakers without an amplifier-- or not?

If so, any ideas or comments on the amplifier would be appreciated. What
kind of amplifier will work with a computer if I need one..

Thanks, John
