Thanks Jason for your thoughts. Well this is interesting, and we should give the thumbs up to Mozilla <smiles>! I apparently received an ecard from a school mate. I clicked on the link, and guess what? The connection timed out! The reason I said "thumbs up for Mozilla" is because I'm using Firefox to read my e-mails using my provider's web interface (Fastmail is my provider). So, in one way, Firefox provides some sort of virus protection by stopping suspicious websites from being downloaded to my computer, I guess. Of course I'll keep my antivirus, AVG 7.5 free, for extra protection, but from what I observed Firefox is definitely secure if it's going to cause timeouts on certain, possibly suspicious, websites.
