Ah, I get it. Sarah, because you've got a Google account already, you won't be asked to confirm your password, since that password will be used for Gmail as well. That's the great thing about Google. With one Google account, you don't have to opt in to everything, Gmail being no exception. Don't know if Yahoo's the same though. When I first got my account I only opted into Google Groups as I've set up such group, however I decided to try Gmail and all I had to do was fill out that same form and bang! I had Gmail!
