First, you have to launch the avg control center. Next, choose scheduler in the list. Now, press scheduled tasks. Choose the option that says update plan in basic mode. Then press edit schedule. Set the preferences the way you want them, such as the time and whether or not the computer will actually restart after some updates. Now, press ok or close. Then, press close again. Finally, scheduler the control center back in to the tray by choosing minimize on the file menu; Do not close the control center. Hope this helps anyone out there...
