Larry,

There appears to be 3 types of information that you can get from the
BookPort about a MP3 file.

1. Percentage of how much has been played.
2. The size of the MP3 file.
3. A useless piece of information that tells you which page you are on in
the file. This is useful when reading a book, but...

I'm thinking that you can use the first 2 pieces of data to calculate the
numbers you need, but I'm not sure it is worth the time. And then it would
bring up the question of if you are using a portable device to listen to the
MP3 files, what device are you using to record the calculations/numbers you
are looking for.

Subject: *****SPAM***** [Blind-Computing] Bookport

Hi folks,

Part of my job requires that I monitor recorded phone calls.
These calls are converted into an MP3 format and given to me on a CD. For
some time now I have been using "Winamp" on my laptop to read the CD's. I
would like to get away using my laptop as the world's most expensive MP3
player and thought that "Bookport" might be a good alternative. My question
to the group is, will bookport provide me with elapsed time and time
remaining? This would be the same information that "Winamp" provides by
pressing alt+shift+T and CTRL+shift+T respectively. This feature is
absolutely necessary to my job requirements When I spoke to the heroes at
APH they weren't sure and weren't willing to look.
If "Bookport" does not offer this feature I am definitely open to
suggestions.

TNX.

Regards
