: Hello Kirby and Mike
:
: Well ......
: - although I agree you cannot technically arrange the Desktop in
: list view
: you can get the same effect fairly easily.
:
: Simply press windows key and E to open Explorer.
: Press Home to go to Desktop in Tree View
: Press Tab once to go into folder pane and you will be able to
: navigate the
: Desktop like any folder in list view.
:
: This works fine but another approach is to set a shortcut to a list
: view
: Desktop on the actual Desktop.
: Again press Windows and E to open Explorer.
: Press Home to go to Desktop
: Press Control and C to Copy
: Press Windows plus D to move to the Desktop
: Press Application Key
: Navigate to Paste Shortcut
:
: You will now have a shortcut to the Desktop on the Desktop which will
: open
: the Desktop in List view.
: So om my computer to access the Desktop in list view I press windows
: plus D,
: then D again and pressing Enter opens the Desktop in list view. I
: find this
: much easier to navigate and edit than the actual Desktop.
:
: If you have other Desktop items beginning with D you might have to
: cycle
: through these or you can rename the Desktop shortcut to something
: else to
: get a different letter to start.
:
: You will of course have to have your Explorer windows set to list
: view for
: this to work. I think it has been already explained how to do this
: but let
: me know if you need help Kirby.
:
: Regards

: Hello Kerby,
: Unfortunately Windows does not allow you to place the items on your
: desktop
: into a plain list view. With the desktop you may only have icons
: representing the items arranged in columns.

: Hi is there any way to make it so the items on the desktop are listed
: in one
: collumn so you can use up and down arrow exclusively and not miss any
: of the
: items? Thanks
