Good point Victor. There are many ways to mark the cords. The 3m braille
labeler allows you to place an abbreviated name label on each power cord.
Hi-Marks, Elmer's Glue, or nail polish to add a distinguishing mark on each
power cord can work as long as you can keep track of what each mark means.
Wrapping one or more twist ties, or rubber bands can work as well.

Annette

Hi John,

Maybe I missed this little piece of advice, but another important thing to
consider labelling are the power cords and various adapters that come with
your various parts, like the printer, scanner, or even speakers.

Routers and modems often have their own power adapters also.

Making sure that these adapters go to their proper device will ensure you
don't burn out any parts or hardware.

As some are universal in their power needs and the like, other use adapters
specifically designed for that device.

One thing I make sure to do is keep the power adapters plugged into their
various devices, and taping the cords to the device so that they don't get
loose or misplaced.

Just a thought.
