Hi Lisa, Actually, they are one-in-the-same, in that they are .mp3 files. Podcasts are available for download thru the use of a pod catcher, or podcast client. When you see audio tutorials on a website, usually they are only available by direct download, while you are on the particular site. Think of a podcast this way: It's similar to e-mail, in that the software on your computer is the client, and you get your mail from a mail server. When you open Outlook Express, your e-mail client, it connects with the mail server on the internet, and downloads the appropriate e-mail for you. When you open a pod cast client, or, podcatcher, it too, connects to the internet, and finds the specified files on the server. If Rick Harmon would like to jump in here, he could give you a better understanding of how this works, as he works with this stuff everyday. I'm sure that there are others that are more knowledgeable of this than me, it's just that Rick came to mind first. smile.
